Prof. Matthias Beller

Prof. Matthias Beller has completed his PhD in chemistry from the University of Göttingen, Germany in 1989. He has significant dual experience of academia and industry. As a Liebig scholar, he has performed research with K. B. Sharpless at MIT, USA while Beller has also worked in industry from 1991 to 1995. Afterward he has joined Technical University of München as Professor of Inorganic Chemistry. In 1998, he relocated in Rostock to head the ‘Institute for Organic Catalysis’, which renamed as ‘Leibniz-Institute for Catalysis’ in 2006. Since 2005, he is the director of the Leibniz-Institut fur Katalyse e.V. (LIKAT), Rostock.

His research focuses on homogeneous catalysis especially of transition-metal catalysts aiming for the development of new, environmentally benign catalysts and synthetic protocols as well as their application in industry.

Research work of his group has been published in over 900 original publications, reviews and over 120 patent applications that have been filed in the last decade (h-index:123)

Dr. Neerish Revaprasadu

Dr. Neerish is working as Senior Professor of Chemistry and SARChI Chair holder in Nanotechnology at the University of Zululand, South Africa. He has earned Ph.D degree in Material science from Imperial College, London in year 2000. He was honored by the DST/NRF SARCHi research chair in nanotechnology in 2007. His research interest includes Nanotechnology, Materials Physics, Solid State Physics and Materials Science. More than 35 postgraduate students have completed research work under his supervision. He has co-authored more than 200 articles in peer reviewed journals. He was also elected as a Member of South African Academy of Science (ASSAF) in year 2014.

Dr. Ayman Nafady

Dr. Nafady is Associate professor at King Saud University, Riyadh, KSA. He has PhD degree in Inorganic Chemistry from University of Vermont, USA in 2004. Dr. Nafady’s research is mainly focused on synthesis of MOF’S and nanostructured materials for different applications such as water splitting, electrochemical Sensors and catalysis. He has produced 175 international publications in well reputed journals with total 3149 citations  and 32 h-index.

 

Dr. M SHARIF

Dr. Sharif was Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry at Chemistry Department, King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals prior to joining ICESCO, Morocco as Advisor Science and Technology. He has secured his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Leibniz-Institute for Catalysis, e.V University Rostock, Germany in year 2011.

His research interest includes Reduction of CO2 and Activation/Valorization of CO2 to value added feed stock. Moreover, he is also indulged in advanced research of organic chemistry such as, Hydroformylation of Alkenes, Phosphine, Monophosphite ligands synthesis methodologies enlargement and synthesis of novel Phosphine ligands. So far, he has produced 33 publications and 2 patents with total citations of 747 and h-index of 16.

Dr. Shahid Rasul

Dr. Rasul is Senior Lecturer at Faculty of Engineering and Environment, Northumbria University, London, UK, where he is working on Clean Energy Technologies. He has completed PhD degree from the University of Tokyo in year 2016. He has published 21 research papers in well reputed journals with total 1032 citations and 13 h-index.

Dr. Saqib Nasir

Dr. Saqib Nasir has completed his PhD. project in field of low-rank coal (lignite) processing and utilization technologies in collaboration with Monash Energy Chemistry Group, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. He is author of book “Industrial Applications of Lignite Humic Acid – Structure, Properties and Consequences for Utilization” published by Lap Lambert Academic Publishing GmbH & Co. Germany. He is author / co-author of 23 research papers published in peer-reviewed Fuel, Fuel Processing Technology and Environmental Engineering Journals. Presently, he is working as Principal Scientific Officer at Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), Islamabad mainly responsible for management, administrative, financial, technical and monitoring matters of funding research projects to HEI’s and S&T organizations along with other statutory scientific functions as per mandate of the Foundation. He was served as senior researcher / group leader supervise coal and biomass technology group at Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (PCSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology (MoST), Lahore Pakistan. He has 20 Years professional experience in field of research and development while served in various public and private organizations. He is an active renowned technical speaker enlightened 45 national and international conferences, workshops, seminars and successfully completed 6 advanced training programs in field of coal quality, combustion efficiency, environmental monitoring techniques and science and technology (S&T) policy leadership from national and international institutions. He is a professional consultant providing technical services to process industry as principal investigator while compiled 14 technical reports for sponsored projects in field of metallic and non-metallic minerals. He is active technical committee member / reviewer for various national and international S&T conference, workshop and seminars since 2010. He is very keen to develop national & international collaborative linkages to boost up S&T activities in field of lignite (coal) to utilize huge country low rank coal reserves for energy demand driven projects and to develop future strategy plans for problematic issues associated with fossil fuel utilization. He is 28th Senior Management Course (SMC) graduate from National Institute of Management (NIM), National School of Public Policy (NSPP), Karachi.

 

Dr Muhammad Asif

Dr Muhammad Asif is a Professor in the King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, KSA. He is a Charted Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, Member of the Energy Institute, and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. His areas of teaching and research interests include renewable energy, energy management, energy policy, climate change, sustainable buildings, and life cycle assessment. He has conducted teaching and training activities at various universities in Austria, UK, Germany, Spain, Finland and Turkey. He has acquired over US$10 Million in research funding, and have advised and provided consultancy services to prominent international organizations in Europe, Middle East and South Asia. He has authored over 100 research papers and four books including ‘Energy Crisis in Pakistan: Origins, Challenges and Sustainable Solutions’ published by Oxford University Press in 2011.

Dr. Khurram Joya

Dr. Khurram Joya is Academician, Entrepreneur, an active Researcher, Innovator, Mentor, Speaker, Research-Coach, Trainer. Dr. Joya is CEO and Co-Founder of Institute of New Horizons (INH), and Executive Director of AR Education PK. Dr. Joya previously affiliated with UET-Lahore and Faculty at KFUPM Saudi Arabia.
